Step Back to the 1940s

📍 Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Havenstreet
🗓️ 5–6 July 2025

All aboard for a journey into yesteryear! The 1940s Experience brings wartime Britain to life with vintage street scenes, live swing music, pop-up retro shops, and even a real Spitfire on display. Don your best retro gear and enjoy a steam train ride through the rolling countryside – the perfect blend of nostalgia and summer fun.

Carnival Season Begins

🗓️ From 5 July 2025

The island’s famous carnival season launches with a bang at Ryde Mardi Gras on Saturday 5 July, celebrating “The Story of Carnival” with creative costumes and community spirit.
Then it’s time for Isle of Wight Pride on 19 July, with a fabulous parade and evening performances from La Voix, Rozalla, and an N-Trance DJ set.
Wrap it up on 26 July with Sandown’s Children’s and Main Carnivals – colour, music, and joy for all ages.

Discover Ventnor Fringe

🗓️ 18–27 July 2025

The Island’s biggest celebration of arts and culture, Ventnor Fringe turns the town into a pop-up playground of creativity. Over 150 shows in unexpected places – from alleyway gigs and secret garden bars to circus tents and rooftops. Expect the weird, the wonderful, and the wildly entertaining.

As the school holidays begin, the Island ramps up the fun!
🎉 Blackgang Chine’s Summer Fest kicks off on 30 July with foam parties, fireworks and live DJs every Wednesday night.
🪩 Over at Tapnell Farm, Moo Mania returns from 29 July with kid-friendly raves, colourful lights, and epic energy – perfect for little party animals.
